VSA/VMS Weekend Patient Care Nurse in San Mateo

Veterinary Surgical Associates (VSA) & Veterinary Medical Specialists (VMS)are seeking R.V.T.s or experienced assistants (for non-RVTs minimum 3 years experience) to join our team in San Mateo. VSA is a surgical referral specialty practice, VMS specializes in internal medicine and oncology. The doctors and outstanding support staff have created unique and growing specialty referral practices based on a statement of purpose and philosophy which emphasizes high caliber, compassionate and ethical service to our patients, clients and referring veterinarians as well as a commitment to the growth and welfare of everyone who works with us.
We are currently hiring for weekend patient care nurses, specifically Saturday and Sunday Morning Shifts (~7am-5pm) as well as Monday Swing (1pm-11pm). VSA/VMS is an outstanding place to get the most out of being a veterinary nurse in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The main focus of the patient's nurse is to provide high quality patient care including critical patient care in our well equipped CCU. A partial list of skills our nurses apply include: IV catheterization, phlebotomy, basic lab work (CBC, Chem, Electrolytes, Blood Glucose), blood pressure, transfusion administration, enteral feedings, pain management, physical therapy.
